Alices View, is named after a woman that once owned Alice's chip shop. Alice was a spinster. From miles around, people came for their fish and chips. She was as famous as any film star. Her heart was as big as a a bucket, if she knew a customer was on hard times, she pilled on the chips and added a fish for free.

Her brother, Fred was also a character, he was a widow cleaner. Fred the ladder was his nickname. His ladder he carried on his 1925 bicycle. It was a sad day when they died.
